- 1 tablespoon oil from vegetable sources
- 6 chicken thighs
- 1/2 shallots, diced
- 1 clove of garlic, chopped
- 1 tablespoon of sugar granulated
- 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 5 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 2 cups of water
Make sure to rinse the chicken before cooking it and then patting it dry.
Warm up the vegetable oil. Then add all chicken thighs, skin side down. Fry for 5-7 mins until the chicken is golden.
Turn the chicken thighs left side up. Continue to fry for another 5-7 minutes or until cooked.
Take the chicken off of the plate. Set aside.
On the same plate remove a small amount of cooked fat until around 2 tablespoons of fat remain.
Incorporate shallots, garlic and shallots. Stir until fragrant and golden. Incorporate Brown sugar, Granulated Sugar soy sauce, salt.
Return the chicken to the bowl. Add water. Close the lid.
Continue to simmer for another 15 minutes at a low temperature.
Serve on a bed of rice.
