Simple Korean BBQ Dipping Sauce (Ssamjang recipe)

For your next KBBQ meal, make your own ssamjang. This savoury, mildly spicy, and nutty dipping sauce can be made to your liking by changing the spicy paste or fermented soybean sauce.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp doenjang fermented soybean paste
  • ½ tbsp gochujang add more if you like it spicy
  • ½ tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp chopped onion
  • 1 tsp rice syrup
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic chopped

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
  • Mix the thoroghly mixture. Adjust according to your taste. For more saltiness, add more doenjang. You can add more gochujang to get more heat. You can add honey or rice syrup to increase sweetness.
  • Serve immediately
