Today, I will show you how to make Vietnamese avocado smoothie (Sinh Tố Bơ). This is a recipe using condensed milk, the type of milk that Vietnamese people often use for Iced Milk Coffee
You can try: Hanoi Egg Coffee
This recipe places avocados into the dessert category due to their rich, rich flavour and extra chunky texture made with fresh Haas avocados.
Avocados were first brought in Vietnam through the French and have been gaining popularity throughout the years. When I was in Vietnam I spotted a lot of vendors offering avocado smoothies and shakes (sinh to bo) which has attracted my attention to making this recipe.
Growing growing up in America You would think I would classify avocados* as something sweet however, I actually used to eat huge quantities of avocado-flavored ice cream front of the television watching cartoons on Saturdays. The avocado-based smoothie is a tribute to my childhood. It’s just as tasty and delicious.
Making this avocado smoothie is simple , as you will only require four ingredients and blender. In Vietnam the people use an avocado that is different from the one you’re used to however, I like the Haas version because it’s more smoky in flavor and smoother.

One suggestion I would suggest is using frozen cut avocados to help to create a more dense, almost an ice cream-like consistency. Sometimes, we’re not able to eat all the avocados that are ripe and I discovered that you can slice them and put them in a freezer to stop them from over-ripening and use them in smoothies later.
To prepare avocados that have been frozen cut the avocados into medium-sized pieces and then arrange them in a single layer on a baking sheet. Put on the counter for around an hour. Once they’re frozen, move them into a freezer-safe container.
It’s easy to put together this drink, all you need to do is place the avocado slices frozen as well as condensed milk and ice into the blender of your choice and then blend!
This consistency must be rich and thick with small bits of avocados frozen for an additional crunch. If you’re suffering from an dietary restriction to dairy, you could also use coconut condensed milk to give you an additional coconut taste.
Serve it in a glass and enjoy it with a straw , or even with a spoon!
