Vietnamese Pork-Stuffed Fried Tofu with Tomato Sauce
Sweet and tart tofu dish. This is a pork-focused variation on a traditional Vietnamese recipe of fried tofu simmered with fish sauce and seasoned with tomato sauce.

- 1 lb (453.6 g) firm tofu block or pre-fried tofu!
- 1 stalk green onion chopped
TOMATO SAUCE
- 5 medium Roma tomatoes quartered
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp fish sauce
- 1/2 c water
- 2 tsp sugar
FILLING
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 lb (226.7 g) ground pork
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/8 tsp MSG (monosodium glutamate)
- 1/4 c chopped onion
Dry, cut cook the tofu (or make use of pre-fried tofu)
Combine the ingredients for the filling , and mix them well. Slice the tofu, then stuff the tofu into the filling.
Cut the tomatoes and put the tofu stuffed with a mixture of and the rest of the ingredients for tomato sauce in one pot
Bring the mixture to an unbeatable boil, then lower the heat to simmering at a low temperature for about 10 minutes or until tomatoes have softened as well as the filling for meat has been completely cooked.
Mix it in mid-way for that it cooks evenly. Add chopped green onions in the final few minutes of cooking to cook and allow it to soften little.
